In our ongoing efforts to enhance security, PCW have rolled out our vital camera project, to put 'eyes in the sky'.

By the time the project is complete we will have 105 cameras operational throughout Pennington, which is incredible!

To cover the monitoring costs and ensure its success, we'll be adjusting our membership fees.

Starting 01/11/2023, we will be increasing our fees by R50 per household per month. Your support makes our community safer, and we appreciate your understanding as we work together to secure and protect our little piece of paradise.

The Pennington Community Watch needs volunteers who are committed to helping SAPS and the security companies to protect the community from criminals.

If you feel that you are able to contribute in this way, please complete the Indemnity Form(It needs to be printed) and contact the PCW on the secretary's phone number listed at the side of this page, or via one of the Whatsapp groups, or via our Contact Form.

The Pennington Community Watch warns and advices you to always remember that your first line of defence against criminals is the South African Police Service. If you observe criminal activity, do not attempt to apprehend or otherwise approach the suspects yourself. Call the police, or if this is not possible, alert your local Community Police Forum representatives, who will be in a position to inform the relevant authorities. Leave the actual police work to the professionals!

• 1. If you have an alarm system linked to armed response / security company activate the panic alarm.
• 2. Phone SAPS Scottburgh charge office 039 978 9916 to report (put it on your speed dial). They will alert the SAPS reservists to respond.
• 3. If no response phone Secretary PCW at 063 474 5012 who will alert the SAPS reservists.
• 4. Then Post on your neighbourhood group.

To report suspicious vehicles, people or activities or other safety security issues please post on your neighbourhood group. PCW committee members or patrol group members will pass the message on to the SAPS reservists to investigate.

Power and water outages do not constitute an immediate emergency. Post on your neighbourhood group to confirm if other households have the same problem. Then please phone either ESCOM or UGU to report the matter. If you wait for someone else to report it might not happen.

Noisy holidaymakers or late-night parties do not constitute an emergency. Post these complaints on your neighbourhood group or phone SAPS to complain.

Free roaming dogs are an indication that a gate is open somewhere or that a perimeter fence has been breached. Please post on your neighbourhood group to alert the dog owner.

Posts on the neighbourhood groups must be relevant to safety, security or important community matters which may affect Pennington residents only. In all instances posts on the neighbourhood groups should only convey facts. Please do not post discussions or opinions. No religion or politics please.
