As a community run non-profit organization, we need the assistance of our community in helping us keep Penningon safe. By volunteering your time and resources, we are able to offer initiatives and services that benefit the entire community.
Patrollers & Responders
The PCW Responders is run and operated by volunteer community members that help patrol and respond to emergency situations and help our security companies and SAPS in keeping an eye out for the community and assisting with tasks such as roadblocks.
By becoming a responder, you work with the response group in patrolling Pennington at times suited to your availability and offer assistance in emergency situations. Anyone is welcome and your good deed ultimately ensures we have adequete feet on the ground when in times of need.
Surveillance Cameras
Since 2023, we have installed over 100 surveillance cameras with the help of the community with the aim to get cameras on each street of Pennington, acting not just as a crime deterrent but also helps us to track movements of criminals after a crime has occured.
As the financial undertaking of installing cameras accross Penningtonn is substancial, we work with members of the community in rolling out new camera installations in roads where there are none. Neighbours work together in purchasing the cameras (2 cameras per installation) and the PCW will cover the costs of the installation and setup of the cameras.
By working together we can get a camera on each road in Pennington giving us eyes in the sky when needed.
Business Sponsoship
We operate various security projects within Pennington which ultimately relies on substancial financial commitments which often exceeds the funds we have access to through our community membership contributions.
Instead of raising monthly costs, we plead to businesses operating in Pennington to work with the PCW in sponsorship and donations to ensure we can introduce additional safety mechanisms that ultimately benefit the entire community.
Sponsorships can be in any form and we welcome any donations or assistance from the Pennington business community to help us keep Pennington safe.
